Saif named OGQ brand ambassador

Mumbai, Oct 7 (IBNS): Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ) has named Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan as its brand ambassador.

“It has always been the dream of OGQ to involve all Indians in our mission to help Indian athletes win Olympic medals. We believe that Saif Ali Khan, whose family has a strong legacy in sport, can help us make Olympic Gold Quest into a movement.” Geet Sethi, co – founder of OGQ, was quoted as saying by the OGQ website.

According to the website, Khan's role will be to help raise funds in the form of donations and contributions which will go towards the training of the athletes supported by OGQ.

He will also spread awareness about OGQ, its mission, vision and the impact that OGQ is creating in Indian Olympic sport.

Saif said, “I am thrilled to be the brand ambassador of OGQ as I love all sports. OGQ has been doing wonderful work to help Indian athletes in their quest for Olympic glory.These athletes are the true heroes and we must all do our bit to support them. I am announcing a contribution of Rs. 20 lakhs per annum to OGQ until the Rio 2016 Olympics. This will go towards the training of the athletes supported by OGQ. In addition to this we will be doing a lot of fund raising events for Olympic Gold Quest.”
