New York, Sept 7 (IBNS): US Tennis star Serena Williams stormed to the final of the US Open here.

She defeated Latvia's Anastasija Sevastova in 66 minutes to cruise to the final round of the tournament.

The semi-final win gave Williams another chance of winning a title.

Williams, who was missing from the court for a long time as she gave birth to her baby,  was beaten by Angelique Kerber in the Wimbledon final in July.

Williams defeated her opponent 6-3 6-0.

She will face Japan's Naomi Osaka in the final of the tournament.

"It is really incredible, a year ago I was literally fighting for my life at the hospital after having the baby," Williams was quoted as saying by BBC.
