Ahmedabad/IBNS: India's fast bowling duo Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah powered the home team to bowl out West Indies for only 162 in the first innings of the inaugural Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

Siraj picked four wickets for 40 runs while Bumrah clinched three conceding 42 runs to the visitors.

Kuldeep Yadav, who had a brilliant Asia Cup, picked two wickets while his spin-bowling partner Washington Sundar grabbed one.

In a sorry tale of West Indies' batting, Justin Greaves, who was bowled out by Bumrah, remained the top scorer for the visitors with his 32.

Wicketkeeper-batter Shai Hope and skipper Roston Chase slammed 26 and 24 respectively.
