Somdev beat Vesely, India , Czech settle for 1-1
New Delhi, Sept 18 (IBNS): Giving a tough competition, Indian Tennis star Somdev Devverman defeated Jiri Vesely of Czech Republic 7-6 6-4 6-3 here in a Davis Cup clash to level the game 1-1.
Devverman's victory int he second singles rubber kept India's hopes in the match.
In the other singles clash, Lukas Rosol defeated India's Yuki Bhambri 6-2, 6-1, 7-5 to take 1-0 lead in the Davis Cup World Group play-off tie.
