South Point dominate the show on the penultimate day Regatta Championship in Kolkata

Kolkata: South Point High School dominated the show as its rowers entered the finals of junior boys' fours, double scull, and senior girls' fours on the penultimate day of the 50th All India Invitation Schools Regatta Championship being organised by Lake Club here Friday.

Their junior boys team, consisting of Sanskar Chowdhury, Devansh Chakraborty, Kankhit Sarkar, and Md Samad Bin Noman, defeated Path Bhavan.

Meanwhile, their senior girls' fours team, represented by Nandika Laha, Adrija Charaborty, Anushka Sarkar, and Dohinee Malakar, displayed their might in beating Ashok Hall in the last four stages.

Sanskar and Devansh are in for a double crown, as they have also moved into the finals of the junior boys' double scull, beating St. Lawrence in the semi-final.

Delhi Public School and Ballygunge Siksha Sadan also earned their places in the finals of junior girls' fours and junior girls' double scull, while Khalsa Boys reached the finals of senior boys' fours and double scull that day.

Other schools that reached the finals today are National High School (senior girls fours), St. Paul’s (junior girls double scull), Lake Point (senior boys double scull), Future Hope (junior boys fours), Ashok Hall (senior girls fours), Modern High School (senior girls fours), and Jagadamba Institution (junior boys double scull).
