Staying for 50 overs was absolutely pleasing: Rohit

Kolkata, Nov 13 (IBNS): Indian batting star Rohit Sharma on Wednesday said he is pleased to stay on the crease for 50 overs.

Sharma, who was adjudge the 'man of the match' for his record 264 runs against Sri Lanka, said: "The fact that I went on to bat 50 overs was absolutely pleasing."

He said: " I will try my best to get to 300, but as of now I will take 264. A lot of memories at Eden Gardens that will remain close to me."

"This one was really special," Sharma said.

Sharma's knock helped India beat Sri Lanka by 153 runs in the fourth ODI match of the series here.
