Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Gujarat Lions, qualify for IPL playoffs

Kanpur, May 13 (IBNS); Sunrisers Hyderabad qualified for the playoffs by beating Gujarat Lions in an IPL clash by 8 wickets here on Saturday.

After Gujarat were bowled out for 154 runs, Sunrisers batsmen reached 158 runs by losing only two wickets.

David Warner (69*) and Vijay Shankar (63*) reached the winning target for Sunrisers.

Shikhar Dhawan(18) and Moises Henriques (4) departed early, but Warner and Shankar reached the target without creating much trouble for Sunrisers.

Praveen Kumar picked up two wickets for Gujarat

Earlier, Gujarat made a strong start but kept losing wickets at regular intervals to just post 154 runs on the scorecard.

Mohammed Siraj picked up four wickets for Sunrisers to shatter Gujarat.

Ishan Kishan (61) and Dwayne Smith (54) remained the top scorers for the side.
