Test: Play called off, England take 85 runs lead
Heavy rain disrupted proceedings of the fourth Test match between India and England.
With the loss of three more wickets, England stood at 237 for six at stumps.
Ian Bell, who was unbeaten at 45 at stumps on Thursday, reached his half-century before losing his wicket at 58 to Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Kumar gave another blow and took the wicket of Chris Jordan for 13.
Varun Aaron gave another jolt to the hosts by picking up the wicket of Moeen Ali (13).
Joe Root (48*) and Jos Buttler( 22*) were at the crease when rain halted the match.
Kumar and Aaron have picked up three wickets each for India.
In a Test where Indian fans were expecting their side to turn around and lift their performance, MS Dhoni's men were bowled out at 152 runs while England finished the first day of the fourth match of the series at 113 for three, trailing the visitors by 39 runs on Thursday.
Indian batsmen became a part of scripting another history which they would love to forget as six of them returned to the pavilion without scoring a single run.
