Udayjit Bhalotia leads the Tolly Juniors Challenge

Kolkata, Aug 26 (IBNS): The opening day of the 2015 Tolly Juniors Challenge saw local lad Udayjit Bhalotia take a one stroke lead over Kunal Naidu. Udayjot shot an eight over 78 at the Par 70 Tollygunge Club on a day where no player set the course on fire.

Another local lad Gurshaan Singh Grewal is placed third a further two strokes behind at 81 followed by Karan Verma at twelve-over 82. Abhikanks Basu and Yash Sarda are tied for the fifth place.

Souvik Nayak who shot an 81 to leads Category C field by two strokes. Kaushal Bagrodia is tied for the second place with Biren Kumar of Jamshedpur at thirteen-over 83. Arnav Sharma follows them in fourth place a further stroke behind.

Category D is led by Garv Lakhmani who, with an 83, is ahead of Gurmehr Bindra by four strokes. Manhar Bajoria is placed third a further three strokes behind followed by Suveer Kapoor at 91.

In the Girls categories, Siddhi Kapoor brought in the best card of the day with a gross of five-over 75 and led Shushnata Deb by a massive fifteen strokes. Smriti Bhargav leads Category C followed by Nikita Biswas six strokes behind at 97. With a score of 103, Karishma Samadder leads Category D by a stroke over Sinjini Mukherjee.
