Unknown men attack Afghan MMA champion Ahmad Wali Hotak

Kabul, Oct 15 (IBNS): Afghan MMA champion Ahmad Wali Hotak was injured during an attack in Afghanistan's capital Kabul city on Monday, media reports said.

Samiullah Pam, spokesman for Hotak, told Pajhwok Afghan News the overnight incident took place in the Hussainkhel area of Bagrami district at 11pm.

Unknown gunmen attacked him while he was returning home after dropping his guests, reports said.

The armed men opened fire at his car before stabbing him in the head and stomach with a knife, reported Pajhwok Afgan News.

The fighter has been admitted to Kabul Emergency Hospital for treatment.

His condition is stable.
