US Open 2017: Rafael Nadal beats Juan Martin del Potro, reaches final

New York, Sep 9 (IBNS): Top seed Rafael Nadal defeated Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro in the second semi final to reach the final of the US Open 2017.

Nadal outplayed his Argentine opponent 4-6, 6-0, 6-3, 6-2.

This is the first time since 2013, top seed, Nadal, reached the US Open final.

The 31-year old Spanish tennis icon will face South Africa's Kevin Anderson in the final on Sunday, with an eye on the 16th grand slam title.

After making it to the final, Nadal said: "It means the world to me to play on this amazing court in front of this wonderful crowd."
