New York, Sept 7 (IBNS) Former US Open champion Venus Williams and her younger sibling Serena won their fourth round matches here on Sunday to set up an all Williams encounter in the quarterfinals.

Playing against Anett Kontaveit of Estonia, Venus beat her 6-2, 6-1 to move on to the next round.

Serena took on a spirited Madison Keys and overcame the challenge of her fellow American 6-3, 6-3 in a straight-sets win.

In another match in the Women’s Doubles encounter it was business as usual for the world number one pair, Martina and Sania, as they mauled their opponent Michaëlla Krajicek of Netherlands and Barbora Strýcová of Czech Republic 6-3, 6-0 to set up a quarterfinals clash with Yung-Jan Chan and Hao-Ching Chan of Taipei.

In the Men’s Singles category Novak Djokovic entered the quarterfinals after a grueling round of tennis with Spaniard R Bautista Agut.

Djoker for the first time in this year’s competition dropped a set as he went on to win a four sets round four game 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. He will next meet Feliciano Lopez of Spain.

Defending Champion Marin Cilic will face a tough opponent in form of Jo Wilfred Tsonga of France in the next round. The in-form Tsonga floored his countryman B Paire 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the quarterfinals.
