US Open: Spain's Rafael Nadal beats Dominic Thiem to reach semi-finals
New York, Sept 5 (IBNS): Spain's Rafael Nadal maintained his strong performance in the ongoing US Open and cruised to the semi-finals of the tournament here on Wednesday.
Nadal defeated Dominic Thiem in the five-set quarter-finals of the tournament.
He defeated Thiem 0-6 6-4 7-5 6-7 (4-7) 7-6 (7-5).
Austrian ninth seed started the match on a winning note as he defeated Nadal in the first set 6-0.
However, Nadal recovered after the defeat and cruised to victory in the crucial match.
