Mount Maunganui, Jan 28 (IBNS): Indian skipper Virat Kohli described his team's victory in the third ODI match against New Zealand as 'amazing'.

"Amazing, three clinical games from us, the relentlessness of the side pleasing. Haven't had a break for a while, hectic Australia tour and now this. We are three-nil up so I can relax a little," Kohli said after the match.

Riding on innings of Rohit Sharma (62) and skipper Virat Kohli (60), India defeated New Zealand by seven wickets in the third ODI match to take an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the five-match series here on Monday.

After bowling out New Zealand for 243 runs, India reached the winning target of 245 runs by losing three wickets with 42 balls to spare.

After Shikhar Dhawan (28) was perished, Sharma and Kohli added 113 runs in the second wicket partnership which ensured a smooth victory for the men-in-blue.

Sharma was playing defensively at the beginning of his innings but later he added pace to make sure the visitors move smoothly ahead.

As Sharma and Kohli departed, Dinesh Karthik (38*) and Rayudu (40*) added 77 runs in their partnership to clinch the victory.

New Zealand bowlers struggled badly in the contest.

Boult picked up two wickets for the hosts.

Earlier, New Zealand were bowled out for 243 runs.
