Mumbai/IBNS: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) maiden win in the first edition of Women's Premier League (WPL) came with a wonder just after cricket icon Virat Kohli's pep talk for the team.

Kohli, who is himself associated with RCB men's team for 15 years, shared with the women players his experience of playing the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The former RCB skipper said, "I've been playing IPL for 15 years and I haven't won it yet. But that doesn't stop me from being excited every year. That's all I can do. That's the effort I can put (in)."

"Always think about the opportunity you have rather than how bad it is right now. There's always a flip side to it. It could always be worse than this... There's no guarantee of giving the fans a cup every year but there's a guarantee of giving your 110 percent. That's all you all can strive to do," he added.

RCB women earned their first victory of the season beating UP Warriorz by five wickets on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Kohli will be back in action against Australia in the first One Day International match on Friday.

Also he will be looking forward to the IPL's new season which begins on Mar 31.
