The Hague, June 9 (IBNS): India suffered yet another defeat in the group stage clash of the FIH Hockey World Cup as Australia beat the Asian side by 4-0 here.

With just one win and a draw against Spain, India's campaign in the World Cup was disastrous.

Kieran Govers opened the account for Australia by scoring the first goal in the 3rd minute of the game.

Chris Ciriello  made things more difficult for India by scoring in the 16th minute. He later scored another in the   22nd minute.

Jeremy Hayward had pushed another into the net in the 20 th minute of the game.

India fought well in the second half but it not good enough to prevent Australia from increasing the lead.

India, however, failed to score a single goal in the match.
