West Bengal State Bowling Championship 2022 to begin on Feb 1

Kolkata/IBNS: Bengal Tenpin Bowling Association (BTBA) has announced that the West Bengal State Championship 2022 will be held from Feb 1 to 6 at Amoeba, Mani Square, in Kolkata.

The championship will be held from 11am till 7pm every day.

The enthusiasm of bowlers is already high and thus registration for the tournament is at peak, the bowling body said.

The entry fees for the tournament is Rs 3,200 per player and for school and college student entry fees is Rs 2,500 per player.

The format of the game is going to be divided into four sections and is directed by Beni Gopal Lahoti, Assistant Secretary at BTBA.

In the first round all the bowlers will play two blocks of six games and in the second round 16 top average bowlers will play one block of six games allowing only top eight bowlers to qualify into the third round.

In round three, top eight bowlers will play six more games and with a cumulative of 24 games top four bowlers will qualify for the last round which is the "Step Ladder Round".

After entering this round, the winner of every match will be decided based on the cumulative Pinfall of two games.

The winner will be awarded Rs 10,000, a trophy and various goodies.

Runner-up will be awarded Rs 7,000, a trophy, and additional goodies.

The last day of registration is Jan. 31.
