WHSmith announces association with Sunrisers Hyderabad

Kolkata, Apr 16 (IBNS): With the stage set for the 7th season of IPL, WHSmith, leading retailer, on Wednesday announced its association as the 'Principal Sponsor' for the side Sunrisers Hyderabad.

WHSmith, best known for its chain of  Convenience Stores at Airports, Railway Stations, Metro Stations, High Street, Hospitals and Motorway Service Station shops selling Books, Stationery, Magazines, Newspapers, Confectionary, Beverages, Travel Essentials and Entertainment products will be seen adorning the team jerseys, in stadia branding, in-store branding and offering memorabilia signed by the players.

WHSmith is a world leader in convenience shopping with more than 1000 stores worldwide.

Commenting on the association, Arun Barathi, Group CEO, Aventus Retail, said, “We are highly honored to be associated with Sunrisers Hyderabad in this season of the IPL. We couldn’t have asked for a better partnership to embark into our IPL journey and act as the building pillar to make a mark in this series. We will be undertaking lots of marketing initiatives at our store in order to reach out to our target audience and make the game more interesting.”

Barathi said: “We have plans of getting digitally signed bats, balls, caps and other merchandise in our stores for cricket aficionado. Apart from this we will also provide customized T-shirts, jerseys, players posters etc at our stores. We wish Sunrisers Hyderabad all the luck for the upcoming tournament and hope this association can reap benefits for both the partners.”
