Will the Kolkata Knights bring it home?

| @indiablooms | Jul 29, 2020, at 02:45 am

India and Cricket have always had a fond bond. Globally the world watches as the IPL 2020 will take place. Question is, who will take the trophy home?

Who will win IPL 2020?

IPL 2020 was due to take place in March 2020, but the coronavirus happened. Taking into consideration the world pandemic, IPL 2020 was delayed till September 2020, kicking off the league on the 26th of the month. The hype, the vibe, the betting and the punters, this is all that take places prior to the event. As we bring you this article, the odds betting sites in India odds are all pointing to one clear winner.  Knight Rider is the obvious favourite with odds topping 8.00.  This translates to a probability of 12.5% with a mere 2% added by bookies for them to make some money out of the event. This takes the % down to 10.5%, a figure that will most probably dominate online sportsbook. Will the Kolkata Knight Riders take the cup home? We believe they will!

With the Riders possibly taking the win, how could odd compilers place them at such a negative position?  Those how understand cricket and know the track record of the Riders, know what we’re talking about.

Let’s look at this from another perspective. We strongly believe that the punters are getting this all wrong.  If we take a closer look at the IPL 2020 odds online, something strange is brewing. But is there a motive or some data to back these bad odds being placed?  Well, yes!  The KKR’s performance in the last couple, it has not been stellar. The cup last year was lifted by the Mumbai Indians with 18 points, whilst the KKR only placed in 5th place with a total of 12 points. If you and I place our bets on the KKR this year and they manage to top the leader board, we will take quite a chunk of moolah home.

How will the Kolkota Knight Riders win the IPL 2020?

The answer is quite simple. The KKR have a strategy, a solid strategy. When they acquired the services of Pat Cummins the Australian Cricketer, we all knew that they meant business. And rest assured that the KKR will serve their main man a wicket to seal the deal a and take the cup home. But the team is not just made up of Cummins and his boundless performance. The KKR have invested widely in what the team is today. Other big names that will secure wins include the likes of Lockie Ferguson, Prasigh Krishna, Kamlesh Nagrakoti, Shivam Mavi, Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell. All of these players share a common goal: winning! If you plan to watch the IPL 2020, expect some of the best moments of the league, being brought to you by the glory of these players.

Superb Bowling power

When cricket teams are not trying to snag valuable points, and need some of the best players to leave a mark, they offer a cricket pillar such as Kuldeep Yadav. As fruitful cricket spinners every point scored is as valuable as gold. Let’s take West Indies’s Sunil Narine for example. The international superstar always pulls some tricks and is always key to landing some of the best cricket moves. Another great cricketer scooped at auction is the Aussie Chris Greene. He might not be the star that we all crave to see in the pitch …as yet, but the player will for sure leave a mark in the 2020 championships. Deemed as a secret weapon, Green stuns with his on-point bowling skills.  At present Greene is on a ban for an illegal bowling stunt, but rest assured that be available just in time when IPL kicks in. This is another reason why we feel that the KKR will take the cup home. Greene is indeed a force to be reckoned with.

Bowling is an important pillar in cricket, but a game is not complete without a middle order expert. To strengthen this unit, the Knights have added Eoin Morgan to their repertoire. It is just pure joy to see Eoin Morgan and Dinesh Karthik create greatness together on the pitch. Other pillars include the upcoming star Shubam Gill and Tom Banton. Others include Nitish Rana and Rahul Tripathi who will surely provide a great opening to the championship and the overall IPL for 2020
