Women's T20: Australia lift trophy
Mirpur, Apr 6 (IBNS): Australian eves bagged their third consecutive women's World T20 tournament as they defeated England by six wickets here on Sunday.
Putting England to bat first after winning the toss, Australia restricted the side to 105 for eight then cruised to 106 by losing four wickets with 29 balls to spare.
England lost wickets at regular intervals as they were restricted to a modest 105.
Heather Knight remained the top scorer for England with her 29.
Sarah Coyte picked up three wickets for Australia.
Chasing 105, Australian skipper Meg Lanning then smashed a 30-ball 44 and
Ellyse Perry 's unbeaten 31 reached the target of 106 runs quite easily at the end of the match.
Lanning hit four boundaries and two sixes in his knock.
Natalie Sciver took two wickets for England.

England 105-8 in 20 overs (Heather Knight 29, Sarah Taylor 18, Charlotte Edwards 13; Sarah Coyte 3-16)
Australia 106-4 in 15.1 overs (Meg Lanning 44, Ellyse Perry 31 no; Natalie Sciver 2-12)
