World Badminton Championships: Saina Nehwal crashes out

Nanjing, Aug 3 (IBNS): Carolina Marin of Spain defeated Saina Nehwal of India in the quarter-finals of the World Badminton Championships here on Friday.

The defeat ended Saina's hopes for further advancement in the tournament.

Marin defeated Saina 6-21, 11-21.

Nehwal suffered defeat in the hands of the seventh seed Marin in just 31 minutes.
