World Cup: England beat Colombia via penalty shootout to reach Q/Fs

Moscow, July 4 (IBNS): England players kept their nerves in control as they defeated Colombia via penalty shootout in an exciting World Cup last 16 stage match to reach the next round of the tournament.

n the regulation time, the scoreline read 1-1.

The penalty shootout result stood at 4-3 in England's favour.

England made early progress in the game when  Harry Kane converted a penalty to give his side 1-0 lead in the 57th minute of the clash.

Colombia scored the equaliser in the third minute of the injury time.

Colombia's Yerry Mina headed into the net from a corner which made the match move forward to the extra time and then to the penalty shootout round.
