World T20: Virat Kohli elected Player of the Series

Kolkata, Apr 3 (IBNS) In a closely contested poll for the Player of the Tournament award, India's Virat Kohli bagged the trophy for his phenomenal average of 137 in the ICC World T20 tournament.

Kohli scored 270 plus runs in the tournament and helped his team beat arch rivals Pakistan and topple Australia in a virtual quarter final earlier.

Kohli is currently the world's highest rated batsman in the shortest format of the game.
