Air India set to unveil all-new seat experience at OTM 2026 — flyers in for a surprise!

| @indiablooms | Feb 04, 2026, at 07:03 pm

Air India group is showcasing the seat product on Air India’s newly inducted Boeing 787-9 aircraft and Air India Express’ in-flight dining brand, Gourmair, at the Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) 2026. OTM starts 5 February and continues until 7 February 2026 at Jio World Convention, Mumbai.

This exhibition highlights the signature elements of the new Air India experience, captivating audiences with a display of elevated Business Class and Premium Economy seats on its new Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

The new Air India experience is also available on Air India’s Airbus A350 widebody aircraft and narrowbody aircraft that operate on domestic and short haul international routes. Visitors can also get a glimpse of Air India’s Airbus 350 at the Virtual Reality (VR) experience zone.

OTM 2026 also marks the inaugural participation of Air India Express, with the airline highlighting its rapidly expanding network covering 45 domestic and 17 international destinations in South Asia, Southeast Asia and the Gulf Region through interactive screens. The presence highlights the airline’s growing connectivity, its newly inducted Boeing 737-8 line-fit aircraft featuring an enhanced cabin experience, and the Gourmair hot meal offerings, through interactive and engaging experiences for visitors.

“OTM 2026 presents a significant platform for Air India and Air India Express to foster engagement and deepen relationships with over 50,000 key trade visitors from across the globe. Change is in the air for Air India and together with our trade partners, we are driving growth, innovation, and seamless connectivity, shaping the future of travel in India and beyond,” said Manish Puri, Head of global sales, Air India group.

The new cabins of the Boeing 787-9 exhibited at OTM 2026 will soon become the standard across our entire Boeing 787 fleet. In line with this, 26 of Air India’s legacy Boeing 787-8 aircraft are progressively undergoing retrofits with the same new cabin interiors and entertainment systems.

The programme is well underway, with many of these aircraft scheduled to complete the process and return to service with refreshed nose-to-tail refit in 2026, including a fresh livery in the new Air India branding. What this effectively means is that by the end of this year, nearly 60% of our widebody fleet will have modern interiors.

Air India Express operates a fleet of over 100 aircraft. The airline received the first of the fully customised line-fit aircraft in December 2025, marking a significant step in Air India Express’ fleet modernisation journey.

Two-thirds of Air India Express’ fleet now comprises of modern B737-8s and A320/321Neo aircraft, offering better fuel-efficiency and superior on-board comfort.
