Kolkata: Airlines major SpiceJet has flown with the highest load factor in the Indian skies for a record seven years.

For the last 84 out of 85 operational months starting April 2015, SpiceJet has recorded the highest occupancy among all Indian domestic airlines with sizeable pan-India operations thus retaining its position as the most favoured and preferred Indian carrier.

This is a feat unparalleled in global aviation history. The airline continues to see robust demand in the coming quarter.

The airline also holds the envious distinction of having flown with a PLF of more than 90% for a record 58 consecutive months.

The airline’s load factor for the last eleven days continues to be extremely impressive with a PLF of 83.1% on 1st July, 88.2% on 2nd July, 90.1% on 3rd July, 86.5% on 4th July, 86.2% on 5th July, 85.8% on 6th July, 84.1% on 7th July, 84.2% on 8th July, 86.6% on 9th July, 85.1% on 10th July and 81.3% on 11th July.

Ajay Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, SpiceJet, said, “SpiceJet has created several records during our glorious journey over the last 17 years and flying with a record PLF has certainly been one of our most remarkable achievements. I am grateful for the faith and trust that our passengers have shown. The numbers speak for themselves and are a testimony to the fact that SpiceJet is and has been the most loved airline in India.”

SpiceJet’s domestic network covers the length and breadth of the country with the airline operating to 51 domestic destinations.
