14 killed in Malaysian boat mishap

Port Klang, Sept 3 (IBNS): At least 14 people were killed as a boat migrant workers capsized off Malaysia’s western coast on Thursday, media reports.

The incident occurred  in the waters off Selangor.

Klang District Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) First Admiral Mohd Aliyas Hamdan was quoted as saying  bernama.com: "MMEA was alerted about the 10.37 am incident by local fishermen who found 14 bodies, 13 of whom were women, and rescued 14 men and a woman."

"We are still investigating the actual cause of the incident," he said.

The boat was reportedly heading to Indonesia with 70 passengers in it.
