Afghanistan: Afghanistan security forces kill ISIS commander in Nangarhar

Kabul: Afghanistan security forces, which are led by the Taliban, have claimed to have killed a senior ISIS commander and his accomplice in eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday, media reports said.

The Taliban has been ruling Afghanistan since Aug 15, 2021.

The killed ISIS commander’s name is said to be ‘Turab’ who was killed during a special operation conducted by the Taliban security forces, reports Khaama Press.

The ISIS commander and his accomplice was killed during an operation conducted in Wuch Tangi village of Shiwa district in eastern Nangarhar province.

In order to tackle the threats of ISIS fighters, the Taliban security forces randomly conduct special operations in areas where insurgents are believed to have hideouts, reports the news agency.
