Kabul, Aug 2 (IBNS): At least two people have reportedly died in an explosion in Afghanistan's Paktia province, local Khaama Press reported.

The fatal incident took place on Wednesday morning in Gardez, the provincial capital.

Though the type of explosive used has not been ascertained officially, preliminary findings have suggested the use of a magnetic bomb.

The agency quoted eyewitness as stating that at least six people, including the head of the investigation of the national directorate of security of Paktia, suffered injuries in the explosion.

No group has claimed responsibility so far.
