Afghanistan: Blast kills 10, injures 50 in Takhar province

Kabul, Oct 13 (IBNS): An explosion hit an election campaign gathering in northern Takhar province of Afghanistan which left at least 10 people killed, media reports said.

The blast left 50 others injured.

Deputy police chief Nizamuddin Ghori told Pajhwok Afghan News the explosion took place in Rustaq district.

He told the Afghanistan-based news agency that the blast resulted from explosives attached to a motorbike.

According to reports, the blast hit the campaign rally of Wolesi Jirga candidate NazifaYousafi Bek.
