Afghanistan: Blast occurs close to Sikh temple in Kabul, no casualty

Kabul: A blast occurred close to the Sikh temple in Kabul city of Afghanistan on Wednesday.

No casualty has been reported so far.

UNI news agency reported members of the Sikh and Hindu community are reportedly safe.

Puneet Singh Chandhok, President of the Indian World Forum tweeted: " Alarming news from #Kabul A bomb has exploded at a shop of a #Sikh hakim located next to Gurdwara Karte Parwan.Strongly condemn this heinous act in #Afghanistan.Requesting @narendramodi ji to intervene & seek safety of our brethren living there & issue their e-visas at earliest."

He also shared a video of the site where the blast took place.

Last week, Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP)  terror group attacked the Sikh temple Gurdwara Karte Parwan which left several people dead.

Religious minorities, mostly Hindus and Sikhs, are often targets of terror attacks in the country.
