Afghanistan: Blast rocks Khost province, 4 killed

Kabul, Sept 17 (IBNS): At least four people were killed due to a landmine explosion in southeastern Khost province of Afghanistan on Sunday, media reports said.

The blast reportedly left 14 others injured.

Police chief Brig. Gen. Faizullah Ghairat told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast took place at 11:00am in a mobile phone market in the city.

The official told the Afghanistan based news agency that the explosives had been placed in a mobile store.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

Search operation is currently going on.
