Afghanistan: Father joins Taliban after murdering teen daughter

Kabul, Jul 3 (IBNS): In a case of honour killing, a man killed his teenage daughter for eloping with a friend, and later joined the Taliban, local Khaama Press reported.

The incident took place in Badghis province of Afghanistan.

According to the provincial spokesperson, the father reportedly shot his 14-year-old daughter in Qala-i-Naw area of the province and later killed her 18-year-old friend with whom she eloped.

Afghanistan witnesses Taliban attacks on regular basis, who along with other terrorist organisations, frequent the area.
