Afghanistan: IED explosion kills 6

Kabul, Feb 20 (IBNS) In an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion at least six people were killed in Afghanistan's Paktika province, officials said on Saturday.

"Based on Paktika Police report, a roadside mine which was placed by the enemies of Afghanistan hit a civilian motorcycle in Padshah region, Waza Khowah district of Paktika province, yesterday afternoon at 02:00 Pm," the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a statement.

All the deceased were part of the same family.

"As a result, six members of a family including four children were killed," it said.

The Ministry of Interior Affairs condemned the strongest terms the acts of the enemies of Afghanistan and expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the victims.
