Kabul, Nov 11 (IBNS): Thousands of people protested against the killing of seven civilians by Islamic State (IS) insurgents in southern Zabul province on Wednesday, media reports said.

Lawmakers and civil society activists joined the demonstration as they marched through Kabul.

They staged the march from Kota Sangi area to the Presidential Palace.

One of the protestors, Mujtaba Amiri, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “We are here to raise our voice for justice. The government should respond to the killing of civilians by Daesh and Taliban militants.”

Gunmen had abducted seven people and decapitated them in Arghandab district of the country on Nov 8.
