Kabul: Multiple attackers stabbed to death a 80-year-old man in Afghanistan's  16th police district in eastern Kabul, media reports said on Friday.

The man's family members claim that he was stabbed to death by three attackers behind their gate on Tuesday, Tolo News reported.

“They attacked him with a knife, hit him twice with a knife, and then hit him with their hands. When he shouted and we went out of the house, they fled,” the wife of Gulbar Khan told the news portal.

“They killed our elderly father, they have left a scar on our hearts. We call on the Islamic Emirate to arrest my father's killers,” Rassida, Gulbar Khan's daughter, told Tolo News.

Gulbar Khan's family members say that he did not have animosity toward anyone and they called on the Islamic Emirate to punish the perpetrators.
