Afghanistan President appoints female spokeswoman

Kabul,Mar 25 (IBNS): Afghanistan president Ashraf Ghani has appointed Durani Waziri as his new deputy spokeswomen, officials said on Sunday.

Haroon Chakhansuri, Deputy Chief of Staff - Strategic Communications and Media, Office of the President,  on Sunday confirmed the matter on social media.

Haroon welcomed her to the position of deputy spokesperson to the president of the country.

He wished her success for the new assignment.

He tweeted: "A warm welcome to our new colleague @duraniwaziri as deputy spokesperson to the president of Islamic Republic of #Afghanistan. Durani is a capable intellectual and our office will benefit from her invaluable contribution. Wish her all the very best in her new assignment!."
