Afghanistan: Roadside blast leaves 13 injured

Kabul, Aug 8 (IBNS): A roadside blast in northern Balkh province of Afghanistan left at least 13 people wounded, media reports said.

A spokesman for the 209th Shaheen Corps, Mohammad Hanif Rezaye,  told Khaama Press the incident has taken place in the vicinity of Shulgar district and as a result at least six civilians, all members of a single family, have lost their lives. 

The incident occurred when a civilian vehicle struck an improvised explosive device in the area.

No group claimed responsibility for the blast so far.
