Afghanistan: Security forces kill 375 Taliban terrorists

Kabul: The Afghanistan security forces killed 375 Taliban terrorists and wounded 193 others while conducting operations in several regions of the country in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Defence said on Tuesday.

"375 Taliban terrorists were killed and 193 were wounded as a result of ANDSF operations in Nuristan, Logar, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Herat, Jowzjan, Balkh, Samangan, Helmand, Kapisa & Baghlan & provinces during the last 24 hours," read the statement issued by the Ministry.

"Also, 11 IEDs which were placed by Taliban on public roads, were discovered & defused by Afghan National Army," read the statement.

Afghanistan is witnessing a rise in Taliban violence as foreign forces started to leave the country.

The terrorists have occupied several regions in the nation.
