Afghanistan: Seven Afghan Local Army soldiers die in Taliban attack

Kabul/IBNS: In an attack by Taliban militants, seven soldiers of Afghan Local Army forces lost their lives in country's northern Parwan province, media reports said.

Wahida Shahkar, a spokesperson for the provincial government, confirmed to Khaama Press that the incident took place late on Wednesday night in Siagerd district.

Shahkar further added that the Taliban militants attacked a security post of the Afghan Local Army forces in Aantan area of the district, killing at least seven soldiers.

 Shahkar told the news agency the Taliban militants also sustained casualties during the clash but did not elaborate further regarding the exact number of Taliban militants killed or wounded.

The Taliban group did not comment on the matter so far.
