Afghanistan: Seven members of family, including children, hurt in blast

Kabul: At least seven people of a family, including children, were hurt as a blast rocked  Marja district in Afghanistan on Saturday, media reports said.

The officials told Khaama Press that the blast took place in Dasht residence of the district Friday afternoon.

Local residents have told the news agency that the explosion was due to an unexploded missile that exploded inside the house of the family.

Deputy Head of the directorate of information and culture of Helmand province Muhammad Qasim Riaz told media that, seven members of the family- father, mother, and their five children were wounded in the incident.

The injured people were taken to hospital for treatment.
