Kabul, Sept 2 (IBNS): A helicopter crash in Afghanistan's northern Balkh province left at least three people killed on Sunday, media reports said.

The deceased people included a foreign pilot, reports said.

Mohammad Hanif Rezaee, spokesman for the 209th Shaheen Military Corps, told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place near a military base at 7:30am.

The chopper went down due to technical issues, he told the Afghanistan-based news agency.

Three others army personnel were injured in the incident.

Four people were rescued by officials.
