Baloch protesters demonstrate in London over enforced disappearance

Salia Marri, the niece of Baloch national leader Baba Khair Bakhsh Marri, will hold a five-day sit-in in London from January 3 to protest against alleged enforced disappearances and human rights violations in Balochistan.

Marri, the wife of Baloch nationalist Mir Taj Muhammad Sarparah who is alleged to be among those to have disappeared, said she will lead the sit-in protest for the safe release of her husband and other missing persons, reported ANI news agency of India.

Marri posted on X: " Join us! Calling on political parties, activists, HR orgs, media,& Baloch nation & everyone for a 5 day sit in protest infront of 10 Downing Street,London."

"From 3 January to 7 January 2024, 24 hours daily," she said.

The announcement was made amid protests against Baloch genocide and enforced disappearances at the National Press Club of Islamabad.
