Dhaka: The death toll due to a blast at a building in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka city has touched 19, media reports said on Wednesday.

Rescuers recovered two more bodies from the blast site, taking the toll to 19.

The bodies were found by fire service personnel in the basement of the building on Wednesday afternoon, Fire Service Assistant Director Akhtaruzzaman told bdnews24.

“Both of the dead are men. We are trying to see if there are any other bodies inside," Akhtaruzzaman said.

Earlier, 17 recovered bodies were handed over to family members.
