Bangladesh: Fire sweeps through shanty, three die

Dhaka: Fire swept through a shack at a slum in Uttara region of Bangladesh capital Dhaka which left at least three people dead, media reports said on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at the 'Manik slum' sprawling over government-owned land in Chandalbhog early Tuesday, according to the authorities, reports bdnews24.

The victims of the incident were identified as 19-year-old Md Jahangir, 17-year-old Ruma Akhter, and 14-year-old 'Afrin'.

They are all natives of Dinajpur.
