Bangladesh: JMB leader arrested

Dhaka, Mar 23 (IBNS): Banned militant outfit Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB)'s leader has been arrested by Bangladesh police from country's Chittagong city, media reports said on Monday.

He has been identified as Ershad Hossain Mamun.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police raided a mess in Baganbari area around 7:30am and arrested him with the explosives and grenade-making materials, Sajib Kumar Das, officer-in-charge (OC) of Akbar Shah Police Station, was quoted as saying by The Daily Star.

The police have been interrogating him.
