Bangladesh: Police recover bodies of woman, her son in Jamalpur, one detained

Dhaka: Police have recovered the bodies of a woman and her son in Bangladesh's Jamalpur city, media reports said.

The deceased people were identified as Moslema Akhter Shikha, 32, wife of log trader Harun-ur-Rashid, and their five-year-old son.  

Both bodies were found with slash wounds on their necks from their home in Madarganj's Chargopalpur village on Wednesday, Madarganj Police OC Rafiqul Islam told bdnews24.

The woman's husband has been detained.

The bodies were sent to Jamalpur General Hospital's morgue for autopsy.
