Bangladesh reports 50 new COVID-19 deaths

Dhaka: Bangladesh registered 50 COVID-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours, media reports said on Wednesday.

The total death toll due to the deadly virus now stands at 11,755.

The caseload jumped by 1,742 in a 24-hour count on Wednesday to 767,338, according to the latest government data, reports bdnews24.

Another 3,433 people recovered from the illness through treatment at home and in hospital care, bringing the tally of recoveries to 698,465, the Bangladeshi news portal reported.

Since the first case was reported in China, COVID-19 infections have been reported from more than 210 nations so far.
