Bangladesh: Road mishap kills 6 in Mymensingh

Mymensingh, Mar 21 (IBNS): At least six people were killed as a truck hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Bangladesh's Mymensingh district on Saturday, media reports said.

A Jamalpur-bound sand-laden truck from Mymensingh hit an oncoming three-wheeler in Bhabki area on Mymensingh-Tangail road around 6:00am,  Md Kamal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Muktagacha Police Station was quoted as saying by The Daily Star.

The injured people were rushed to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

A case has been lodged in connection with the matter while the police have also seized the truck involved in the mishap.

The driver of the truck has managed to flee from the spot.
