Berlin attack: IS acknowledges death of suspect

Berlin, Dec 23 (IBNS): Militant group Islamic State has recognized the killing of Berlin attack suspect.

He has been killed suring a shootout with the police in Milan.

"The Islamic State's (IS) 'Amaq News Agency reported that the executor of the vehicular attack in Berlin, Germany, was killed in a shootout with Italian police in Milan,"  a SITE Intel Group report stated.

The man, who is suspected to have carried out the attack in Germany's Berlin city recently, has been shot dead by police in Milan, media reports said.

The man has been identified as  Anis Amri.

According to media reports, Monday night, a man ploughed a truck through a Christmas market in the heart of the German capital, killing 12.
