Black box of ill-fated Russian military plane likely found say sources

Moscow, Dec 27 (IBNS): Black box of the ill-fated Russian military plane that crashed into the Black Sea has been located, according to media reports.

The black box or the flight data recorder was found in the wreckage of the plane and has been lifted from the water, informed the Russian news agency TASS on Tuesday.

"The main flight data recorder was found at 5.42 a.m. some 1,600 meters away from the coast at the depth of 17 meters by the Falcon search apparatus,"  reported TASS.

In a tragic incident, a Russian defence ministry TU-154 aircraft, which had disappeared from the radar with 91 on board, had crashed over the Black Sea.

The plane had disappeared form the radar after taking off from the Black Sea resort of Sochi.
